Announcing Google DeepMind

Following a year-long development, DeepMind, the newly combined unit from Google Research and Brain teams, has announced plans to accelerate their research and development efforts while also creating AI breakthroughs in response to the biggest challenges facing humanity. The collaboration comes as part of Google’s effort to advance general AI, safety, and responsibility while serving diverse communities. Through the new combined unit, experts across various Google Product Areas will join forces to work together on world-changing breakthroughs, which include Brain’s phenomenal research advances in Deep Reinforce Learning and Transformer frameworks as well as recent developments within the company like Google Cloud and AI for Good.
